Unfortunately I haven't had the pleasure of seeing him live, he came through Minneapolis not too long ago but ticket prices were out of my league - maybe next time I'll be a little better off and able to check the man's show out. It's real humbling to know that anyone reads this stuff, especially someone from the other side of the planet. Unlike yourself I find my age somewhere around 24ish, so as you've been down that road I hope you can appreciate just how confused I am. Rather than attempting to figure out the direction of my entire future I think it's better than I take it one day, or week at a time. Hopefully next year's American election brings a bit of hope with it...one can still dream. Thanks for the kind words! Especially liked your comments re the difficulties we all face in designing or living a sustainable future - Bush and Australia's Howard appear to be doing everything they can to destroy everything I value - like social justice, legal rights, public education, clean air, the bush (or the forest in US speak?). Each year it gets harder to swallow all their shite. But each year I hang in there, occasionally moving back into the forest to protect some old growth forest. Mind you, I listened to 'Mirror Ball' a lot, but alas, I was young and I first purchased it because of Pearl Jam's inclusion. Since then, with the exception of 'Are You Passionate?' I honestly feel like Young has released something special with each new record.
