Amy Winehouse on The Late Show

Amy Winehouse looks as though she should sound something like an aged pop star when in fact her voice is more reminiscent to that of a young Shirley Bassey. Making her American television debut after a successful year in her native UK Winehouse delivers a remarkable version of “Rehab.” As I was trolling her debut album Back to Black wondered what made the daunting explicit content sticker necessary and within the track “Me & Mr. Jones” is all became apparent. If the Spice Girls had used lyrics such as Winehouse’s “What kind of fuckery is this?” we all might have interpreted Girl Power a little different, no?

Winehouse would be up for some fuckery if you could get a paper bag over her head – watch that nose!

Beauty. Eyes. Beholder. I. Think. She’s. Hot.

  • Chris DeLine says:

    I agree wholeheartedly

the thing i love most about this thread is that her voice or music is never even discussed.. and “magoo” above gives us the perfect example of fat sweaty trollery sitting behind a keyboard all day with cornchip and semen stained hands.. commenting on Mr. Winehouse’s looks as she travels the world bringing soul music wherever she goes.
    gotta love that.
