Amy Winehouse on The Tonight Show
Power of suggestion is a horrible thing. When posting a show of Amy Winehouse’s not too long ago there were a number of comments, both good and bad, that attempted to twist how one is to look at her. One of my favorites is “its way too early in the morning to be greeted with a picture of a tranny like that.” It’s so harmful and dark, but all the same the commenter attempted to pad it by suggesting that maybe, mid-day or so, it becomes really enjoyable to look at trannys. Who knows, but either way, I have noticed that I look at her in a different light after such comments. Anyways, Amy performed on The Tonight Show on Tuesday, and as per the norm, she was graceful and stylish (and drunk?) in her delivery. Got to love her.

True, she’s no looker but she has a great voice.
this probably isn’t the appropriate forum for this discussion, but I think Amy Winehouse is pretty attractive. Or was before she went on the Nicole Richie diet plan….
And, oh yeah – love the voice.
she is the real deal. don’t be distracted by the tabloid crappola that surrounds her, you don’t become this fully developed without a kick-ass plan and a ton of talent.

I’d never seen or heard of Ms. Winehouse before the Tonight Show. I’m getting up in years now, and usually don’t like female singers in general, but Miss Winehouse is spellbinding. I’ll probably buy all her recordings now. Glamour is part of being an entertainer. No wants to watch ordinary! I think she’s brave and lovely. Alcohol is slow poison, though.

From what I’ve heard she gets really nervous before gigs, and while she may be hiding a small child in her hair if she sings like she did on your previous live gig posting a few weeks back I just can’t understand why people seem so down about her.
