Arcade Fire on Saturday Night Live

As was anticipated indie darlings Arcade Fire blew away the audience (and staff members) with performances of both “Intervention” and “Keep the Car Running,” both tracks from the upcoming Neon Bible. Still high from the set of recent performances at the Judson Memorial Church in New York the band was quickly announced as upcoming guests on SNLThe Shins and the rest is now history. If the same trend follows, as did with back in January, expect Neon Bible to sell close to a hundred thousand records its first week out…though in all fairness I’m not sure that The Shins’ commerciality can too be associated with Arcade Fire.
