First Universalist Church: 7:00, All Ages, Donations Accepted

At the risk of being non-objective (gasp), I’d like to suggest checking out Go Light The World, the annual big event for the Quest for the Voice Twin Cities youth poetry slam team. I’ve had the pleasure of working with this team as an unofficial coach, and I know that they’re going to put on a great show. This will be the team’s main fundraiser for their trip to Washington D.C. to compete in the national Brave New Voices youth poetry slam. A diverse team, both in terms of identity and approaches to poetry, our local heroes are poised to do some damage in D.C. this year.
