thanks chris, that maiden vs. monkees track is incredibly cool. heard the hood internet mash live at their first ave set opening for solid gold, and i’d have to say it was the high point of their set. i’m going to have to jam this whole list out.

  • Speaking of that Hood Internet set, their high point was definitely the Dead Prez vs. Grizzly Bear mash-up. That track is off the hook, should have made its way onto this list.

  • hell yeah! thanx chris for the inclusion. i’m in great company here!!

  • @Ryan – my man Schmolli had things booming all year – this was the pinnacle (in my opinion, clearly). He also did all sorts of Slayer stuff that you might be into.

@Erik – that one’s pretty good too, but I think I’ve heard the a capella Dead Prez track used too many times. Wanted to recommend another, but it was a track they didn’t release until late in December last year; it was released within their “year in rejects” series: Crystal Castles vs. Maino, a fantastic track

  • What a massive list… Thx Chris for the inclusion!!!!

  • Yeah thx for the inclusion of our “My Life On The Crazy Train Sucks (So What)”

  • @Chris, Yeah I’ve heard that one before too, and totally agree it’s great. I was actually just driving in the car listening to the DOOMed mixtape from early this year and the “Shimmy Shimmy Ya” vs. “My Favorite Ladies” mash came on and instantly made me rethink my original suggestion, ha

  • Hell yeah, thanks for putting me in there! Great selection of tracks too – and mentioning Phil’s Introversion is very much deserved.

    G.

  • Thanks so much for the inclusion ! What a selection, especially the CJR Mix one !

  • Holy crap, Chris – I never thought “Might Like Ghosts Better” would make a year-end list, so thanks so much for including it!

Have a great holiday and big cheers to 2010!
    xo Paul V.

  • you’re all quite welcome! thanks for the great music!

  • Cheers feller for the number 9 spot! Some awesome mashes on here, and a great turnout for the Mashup Industries boys all-in-all! :)

  • Now that’s a killer comp.Much praise to all involved!

  • A good list this year methinks, though a tad heavy on the hip-hop for me own tastes. Top choice of Schmolli, G3RSt and CjR though – between them I’d say they cornered the market again this year (bloody Thomas and his relentless mash-making!).

And yep – Phil produced the album of the year, no doubt.

    But no Wax Audio???!!!
