This year has had mixed results in terms of reemerging classic rock idols. With that, Bob Seger and his Silver Bullet Band are tossing their collective hat in the ring further questioning aging rock icons’ relevance. Bruce Springsteen’s release was met with a highly mixed reaction while Tom Petty found an invigorated career based off the success of his latest record. Through the interview with Letterman, we learn that Seger is returning to music after watching his children, whom he had late in his life, grow up. He’s ready to get back into playing and more importantly, his family is ready. If ever there were a “right” reason to get back into music, this might be it.
