2k10 in Review: The Most Visually Striking Music Videos

It’s a rare occurrence when a music video is able to knock the viewer down a step, startling with elaborate visuals so hypnotically vibrant that they completely engross the moment. While the vast majority of music videos are created with visual appeal in mind, few are able to capture a subject—whether it be the surreal or mundane—and transform it into something truly magical. The following is a list of a few videos from 2010 which did just that.

#5) Under Byen “Unoder”
(Directed by Manyar I. Parwani)

#4) Stretta “Calculus”
(Directed by Franck Trebillac)

#3) Young Loves “Rotten Fruit”
(Directed by Chris LaGarce)

#2) Nosaj Thing “Use (Jon Hopkins Remix)”
(Direction, editing and cinematography by Anthony Ciannamea & Mark Wisniowski)

#1) Dancing Pigeons “Ritalin”
(Directed by Tomas Mankovsky)
