The Amherst trio had towers of amps stacked up all over the stage, including one that was pointed directly towards front man J Mascis, in case his monitors weren’t providing him enough of his own guitar sound. And not having enough sound has never really been a problem for the group, and it certainly wasn’t on this evening as the band tore through a fiery 90 minute set that spanned the band’s entire career.

Hello Mr Culture Bully or any other Cat Power fan having an mp3 blog,
Thank you for the posting of Cat Power’s Tonight Show performance. On the Dutch website from the national radio VPRO there is a streaming of a concert Cat Power gave in Paradiso Amsterdam in the fall of 2006. I have never seen this concert on a mp3 blog.
Unfortunately I don’t have the software to transfer the music into mp3’s. I, such as many other Cat Power fans I guess, would be very grateful to any mp3 blogger who might do this. Would anyone be able to help? You can find the concert at
    http://3voor12.vpro.nl/doemee/tags/cat%20power
best regards and many thanks from Belgium
