Coachella 2006 – Leaked Line-up?

If this poster which was apparently leaked holds any truths, Coachella could possibly be the most important festival of our generation…my generation. It’s hard not to just let your eyes roll all over the page, point your mental fingers at the bands as their mention sinks in and you realize “Why do I have to miss this?!” I’m going to write my hypothetical thoughts based on what will probably be pushed aside in favor a lackluster line-up.br /br /Day 1br /The Strokes are fine enough but I can imagine someone out there is a Depeche Mode fan…or a few million people are fans…I myself am not. I would rather put both aside and see Portishead and Massive Attack! Are you kidding me?! Remove any rock from your schedule (with the exception of Sleater-Kinney) because this day will provide something that I’ve never seen offered in America before. Trip hop has long since died from the mainstream but seeing a reunited Massive Attack and a Portishead which we haven’t heard from this millennium would honestly be a highlight in my life. Oh, and there’s also some of the world’s best record player player’s, DJ Shadow Paul Oakenfold. Furthering the dance scene is Ellen Allien who put out an exceptional album last year: a href=”http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect?link_code=as2amp;path=ASIN/B0008MGGTEtag=culturebully-20amp;camp=1789creative=9325″Thrills/aimg src=”http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=culturebully-20amp;l=as2o=1amp;a=B0008MGGTE” alt=”" style=”border: medium none ! important; margin: 0px ! important;” border=”0″ height=”1″ width=”1″ /. And if you were looking for some of the best hip hop from last year, do these albums ring a bell: a href=”http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect?link_code=as2path=ASIN/B000AMJDDIamp;amp;amp;amp;amp;tag=culturebully-20camp=1789amp;creative=9325″The Craft/aimg src=”http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=culturebully-20l=as2amp;o=1a=B000AMJDDI” alt=”" style=”border: medium none ! important; margin: 0px ! important;” border=”0″ height=”1″ width=”1″ / or a href=”http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect?link_code=as2path=ASIN/B000B9EYDYamp;amp;amp;amp;amp;tag=culturebully-20camp=1789amp;creative=9325″The Mouse and the Mask/aimg src=”http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=culturebully-20l=as2amp;o=1a=B000B9EYDY” alt=”" style=”border: medium none ! important; margin: 0px ! important;” border=”0″ height=”1″ width=”1″ /? Blackalicious and Danger Doom would blow the place up. While thinking of something to write about today I was contemplating writing about Lady Sovereign, who I only recently read about and have since listened to. But in hopes of staying slightly relevant I chose not to (that and I haven’t listened to much outside of her amazing track 9 to 5 and its many remixes which followed). But yeah, she’s there too. Oh, some Montreal band Wolf Parade, indie favorites The Go! Team and hip hop legends (who will most certainly accompany the Alburn led Gorillaz) among a few others’ll be there too.br /br /a href=”http://www8.rapidupload.com/file.php?filepath=16796″Lady Sovereign – 9 to 5 (original mix)/abr /a href=”http://www8.rapidupload.com/file.php?filepath=16799″Lady Sovereign – 9-5 (Tony Senghore’s Gosh Darn It! not in my heart it isnt
That lineup is 100% fake, unfortunately.
Too obvious. Fake. Too bad.
Check out the Lady Sov remixes Jools MF has posted on his A HREF=”http://www.joolsmf.co.uk/MP3ii.htm” REL=”nofollow”websight/A. They’re better than most of the official remixes.
