well i must say i have read this entire article chain and have come to the conclusion....people relax....coldplay fans this isnt the review that determinese anything.....i listen to ALL types of music and only listen to the best off each...different types of music have their strengths and weakness....polar oppeosites such as metal and rap have their own strengths..rap can have a catchy beat and can have some slick lirics while metal is fast and typically takes a lot of talent to play (true metal)...let me give you a review from someone who is nuetral and just likes music....lost is a good song and for coldplay adding jay-z wasnt a smart decision(for keeping to their ordinary style) but it was good because it shows that coldplay is expirementing to become their best....lost in tech 2 wasnt as incredible as 1 but his vocals did good with it(although i agree with guy above about coldplay needs a little less singing) postcards from far away was a pretty decent piano piece but i thought it was just alittle out of place...but it served as a transition to glass of water pretty decently....glass of water i think retained some of colplay in the earlier days and was a really good addition...although in comparison to other albums it through of the flow that the other albums usually had(parachutes and x&y are examples of coldplays flow between songs) rainy day was actually pretty good...when i first heard it i was thinking hold on is this coldplay? it is a sign showing that coldplay is again trying new things....intrumentals were definatly mellow...first part of prospekts march/poppy fieldsstarted of kinda dark and mysterious but then transformed into a song that difinatly said im made by coldplay...it was kinda mellow halfway through(not lyrically but as a whole) it held coldplays style well and showed that coldplay can still make new of what they used to make.....lovers in japan was a more fast paced song that was mellow and different....yet it had some of the old coldplay in it.....now my feet wont touch the ground was definatley a good song to end the ep with and was good transitioning from lovers in japan.....all in all it didnt have great transitioning from song to song all the time creating the feeling of going down a path like other albums and had some faults but it shows that coldplay can either become even better or they can get worse....but i liked it not as much as parachutes and viva la vida but i thought it was better than a rush of blood to the head....dont get me wrong i love clocks but a rush of blood to the head FEELs like im listening to a different version of the same song(except clocks)...myu opinion is coldplay should try new things but not lose what they did in parachutes...

I don't usually leave comments but to insult coldplay like that and say that they are a garbage band takes some nerve.Coldplay is one of the best things that have happened to music since the beatles. You wouldn't know what good music is if it went through your garbage filled ears. If you don't like coldplay then don't write anything about them. Coldplay has created a completely original sound in all their albums and all their songs will cut to core of you if you come to appreciate their music.

You bore me, in every way possible. I yawned through the whole review. But thanks for your opinion and pointless review that contributed nothing to the world.

Coldplay is my favorite band and not because the are "mainstream" or copiers. I find their music enjoyable and I think Jay-Z only added to the track instead of making it worse.

About the review, I agree that it is very biased and the author has added way too much of his own personal opinion.

This is not a blog, it's a CD review. Get it right.

Sounds like this was your first review...not a good one. Coldplay's popularity speaks for itself. I loved them as a fledgling band, and still love them as they're playing stadium gigs on an international scale.

This shouldn't be passed off as a review, a more accurate description would be "a completely biased bashing of what is globally known as a good band."

Glass of Water is the best song I've ever heard by Coldplay, it just seems to be a new type of music for Coldplay, but you lump it in with everything else they've done. That shows a clear lack of intelligence and intuition on your part.

Lost is pretty mediocre, and putting Jay Z on the track just ruined it, he really dumbed it down.

haha totally agree with this review...coldplay is a joke

i must admit i did really like "parachutes" and "a rush of blood to the head," but they've really gone downhill since then. if they're going to try to totally copy radiohead in a cheap, overblown, and lazy way, then why doesn't everyone just ignore them and actually listen to...RADIOHEAD? plus chris martin has no sense of constraint...i liked him better when his falsettos were a cool surprise instead of the band's main asset in everyfuckingsong. yeah?
