I need this album to hold late at nigh. ‘You’re the One’ from Magic Potion has got to be one of the hottest songs ever.

As a younger me, I never stopped to think that as an adult, I’d be constantly apologizing to my childhood self…

I used to save wooden nickels think that surely someday I’d be able to spend them. Or sell them for money because they were rare. I’ve had three wooden nickels for as long as I can remember.

Hey Bill - I’ll trade you a solid, short, well spoken story with a ramble that goes nowhere…
When I was younger I entered a contest at a video store - and won a card that gave me a free video game rental every week for an entire year. I was a grand prize winner, and the second place winner won a brand spankin new Super Nintendo. I felt cool about winning something, but I may have used a dozen of the game rentals and ultimately felt a little ripped off by life.
And as a young boy I learned that sometimes even winners feel like losers.
I still eat children’s cereal, though I buy the economy-sized generic brands…so they don’t have contests. But if they did, I’m not sure I’d feel like a winner even if I won.
Told ya, this goes nowhere…

Damn it LMS. You’ve gone and stolen any possible thunder I might have had in anything I might have said. But thanks for sharing truth….

“When he was six he believed that the moon overhead followed him
By nine he had deciphered the illusion, trading magic for fact
No trade-backs…
So this is what it’s like to be an adult
If he only knew now what he knew then…”
