Dan The Automator: “2K7″ Update

Dan “The Automator” Nakamura is typically associated with interesting collaborations including his work with acts such as Gorillaz. More interesting are his hip hop works, however, including collaborative projects including Deltron 3030, Handsome Boy Modeling School and Dr. Octagon. The upcoming release of 2K7 is interesting as it’s entirely focused on tracks released in conjunction with a video game, NBA 2K7. While “2K007″ has a tacky, foreseeable introduction, Hieroglyphics influence on “Don’t Hate The Player” really excites. Let’s hope that the rest of the album (or video game…) takes shape along these lines:

Dan The Automator “Don’t Hate The Player (Feat. Hieroglyphics)”
Dan The Automator “2K007 (Feat. Ghostface & A.G. of D.I.T.C.)”

  • Well, I’m really glad to see that Heiro has another release. I just recently saw Del play at Rock the Bells and he played a few songs off Third Eye Vision (easily my favorite rap album). Never heard of Dan the automator though. Thanks for the links.
