Dee Goodz feat. Naledge “Can I Live” MP3

It’s already been about a month since Nashville’s Dee Goodz released his 2Dope cosigned Floetic Justice Volume 2: B.O.T.H. mixtape. And with the speed of life being what it is, it’s easy to let things slide but if you give anything listening re-consideration today, you should make it FJ2. About a week after the mix dropped, a collaboration surfaced between Goodz & Naledge which is set to appear on the Kidz In The Hall MC’s forthcoming solo release. But taking a look back at FJ2, one of the standouts late in the mammoth release (the mixtape boasts 27 legitimate tracks) is another collaboration between the two titled “Can I Live.” “I ask God is this really where I’m supposed to be/Or am I so sidetracked that I don’t see?” opens Goodz in the song, setting up the track’s ongoing appeal toward finding one’s direction. Later flowing, “‘Cause wishing on a star ain’t gon’ fill no shopping carts/And showing that I’m smart ain’t gon’ get me on the charts,” the man projects awareness of both the obstacles in his way and his personal limitations. It’s a showing example of the maturity which the young MC boasts, and if he’s able to keep up the current pace he’s been hustling at, there’s no telling what the future hold for him. The entire Floetic Justice 2 mixtape can be downloaded here for free, but if you’re in the area and want to see the man perform live, the MC will be opening for Lyrics Born at Nashville’s Exit/In tomorrow night (April 13).
