Drive-By Truckers play the Late Show with David Letterman

It is hard to take the band’s latest single literally when considering the Drive-By Truckers‘ release schedule over the past year. In addition to Patterson Hood‘s solo debut, the band put out two albums last year including a collection of b-sides entitled The Fine Print: A Collection of Oddities and Rarities and a live CD/DVD set aptly named Live From Austin, TX. This year shows little change as the Truckers are already planning another album for 2010 (tentatively titled Go Go Boots) in addition to The Big To Do, which will see its release this coming week. “Workin’ this job is a kick in the pants, Workin’ this job is like a knife in the back…” Yeah, right.
