Everclear’s Art Alexakis on The O’Reilly Factor

Throughout the entire interview O’Reilly comes off as though he’s, both never seen the “Hater” video or listened to the song (O’Reilly: “The video features a heathen version of Jesus dubbed hater Jesus.” Alexakis: “Heathen, where did you get heathen?” O’Reilly: “Well, this is the description of it.”) (also: he mentions early in the interview that Alexakis is, himself, portrayed as this hater Jesus in the video when in fact the part is played by an actor). I do believe that O’Reilly makes a good point when he asks whether or not it is made clear in the video what the connection or point is in terms of linking it to the music, but he does, again, come off as a pompous talking head; “I think I’m an artist out here.”
