The Amherst trio had towers of amps stacked up all over the stage, including one that was pointed directly towards front man J Mascis, in case his monitors weren’t providing him enough of his own guitar sound. And not having enough sound has never really been a problem for the group, and it certainly wasn’t on this evening as the band tore through a fiery 90 minute set that spanned the band’s entire career.

Exile & DJ Day chop up “Thriller” for MPC routine

Time and time again Exile & DJ Day seem to raise the bar with their MPC work. These guys recently played a show at Root Down in L.A. for Halloween. If you’ve ever seen one of these videos, you know that what these guys do is nothing short of phenomenal. During this performance Exile & DJ Day chopped the hell out of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” and gave it their own twist. This is something that should not be slept on. [via Nah Right]
