Explosions in the Sky on Late Night

Explosions in the Sky on Late Night with Conan Obrien.jpg

Having only ever heard a scattered history of the band’s music I had in my mind, for one reason or another, the idea that group’s performance on Late Night with Conan O’Brien would be far more dramatic or loud. It’s times like these that make me question my sanity…though I could just have confused them with The Fucking Champs for some reason, right? The performance is very low-key and builds slowly, but lacks any outright climax at the end. Still very worth checking out…but just be warned, if you’re thinking of the aforementioned California-based instrumental trio The Fucking Champs instead of Explosions in the Sky, you’re going to be in for a shock.

their live shows (and records) are a lot more exciting than that Conan performance.

they cut off over a minute of the song they played on Conan as well (to fit it on TV)

Thanks for posting this, the preformance was a little underwhelming but I’ve heard their actual shows are phenomenal.
