Culture Bully

We now interrupt your regularly scheduled program…

With the new year comes a bit of change in everyone’s lives. Some favor undeniably impossible new year’s resolutions (50 pounds by spring, so help me god!), some favor different ways of shaking things up a bit. I, myself, am moving.

In a few days (I haven’t decided when, exactly) I’m moving away from Minneapolis. I’m also putting the blog on a fairly semi-lengthy hiatus. Believe it or not though, the decision to sell everything I own, leave my family, and move about 1300 miles was easier to make than it was to tell a group of friends that it’s time we go our separate ways in this big thing we call the interweblogosphere. Life’s funny like that.

With that, I hope you have some time to check out what the guys will be up to in the future:

Kyle “Guante” Myhre can be followed through either his MySpace page his blog, or his Twitter account.

Jon Behm‘s portfolio can be viewed at his flickr page.

Josh Keller also blogs at Whiskey For The Holy Ghost.

Erik Thompson also blogs at Words To Sell & This is Fake DIY, and you can follow him through his Twitter account.

Ryan Buege also blogs at Metal Injection and Mind Inversion. Ryan also covers administration and web design duties for both Soulfly and the Cavalera Conspiracy.

Adam Bubolz‘ portfolio can be viewed at either I Like The Lights, or his flickr page.

Tim Althaus also blogs at Mind Inversion. You can follow Tim through his Twitter account.

[Edit: a couple of the guys have gotten together and started a new site, Reviler. I suggest you check it out.]

So, see ya’ later,
-Chris

When your considering your new year’s resolutions, many people think about if they have an issue with alcohol. If you want to stop, but can’t, get help at alcohol rehab.

Yo dawg. This is bad news. Best wishes with the future and keep in touch.

  • Aw. A semi-end of an era, but exciting! Best of luck with everything!

  • Wow, this is tough news to hear but it must’ve been a tough decision to make. I made a similar decision back in 2007 to go monk-stylee and move from Tampa to Minneapolis and I remember how tough it was to make the decision and how much tougher it was to tell friends and say goodbye.

I’ll miss Culture Bully. When I dove head-first into shooting shows it was the reviews, videos and photos of local shows on Culture Bully that most inspired me. I was incredibly happy that quality work was being done to document and share the amazing live experiences our cities have to offer and it helped drive me to get out of the house and see (and document) many, many shows this year.

    Thanks ya’ll. I wonder what’s next?

  • good luck brother!

  • Long Live Culture Bully!, lookout Canada*

  • Best of luck Chris.

  • Good luck Chris, you’ll be missed.

  • Happy Trails! Having done just this once or twice in my own life, I can say that it’s often an amazing shakeup that leads to some pretty interesting places. I’m smiling to myself in anticipation of the tales you might tell (good or bad) six months or a year from now. I hope you let some of us in on them! Kisses, darlin… and you know where to find a tart in a windy city if ya need one ;) xo

  • Wow – What a startling turn of events.

That being said, I’m excited to see what 2010 brings to you, Mr. DeLine. It has been an honor serving as a guest contributor to this site, and I hope that we can still keep in touch as you move onto this new phase of your life.

    Peace.

    APN.

  • good luck dude!

  • I’m shedding a tear for this today, Chris. It’s been a true blessing getting to know everyone and to work with you all… I’ve got more respect for what you guys have achieved over the years than you can imagine, and I feel truly honored to have been brought on board to share my point of view as well.

Stay in touch man; when we meet again soon, cerveza is on me. I’ll be waiting with anticipation to use and abuse some webspace alongside you and the dudes again sometime down the line…

Til then, keep your head high!

Con mucho respeto de México, su hermano en blogging,
    Ryan

  • thanks dudes.

  • Best wishes to you,Chris,on your life-changing decision.
I can relate as I’m moving soon to a very faraway place.
    Don’t be a total stranger!

I consider Culture Bully the finest of it’s type.
    You leave at the top!
    Thanks much for sharing it.

  • * Editing Note – I am probably not going to be writing at Mind Inversion, but the chance is always there. I am looking for somewhere to write at this point, so if any of you have an opportunity for me, please let me know. I am going to miss the short stint that I had at Culture Bully with you guys; I truly enjoyed writing alongside you guys. Thanks for giving me the chance to be a part of something bigger Chris. I wish you the best of luck in all of your future endeavors, and if you get Culture Bully up and running again, be sure that I will jump right back in.

    So long mates,

    Alteez

  • It’s a shame, I hope the hiatus turns out to be just a “brief interruption”.

    All the best,

    Regards
    Tom from Melbourne, Australia.

  • Thanks Chris for all that you’ve done and did for us. Really appreciate it man.

    *fist bump*

  • Just a “few” days late, but here’s to having the best of luck with whatever you’re pursuing. I’ll miss the blog.
