mgmt were a lot of fun when they were just two dudes doing karaoke opening for of montreal; drag they had to go ruin it by trying to be a real band

Yeah, when I was walking by their set at Lollapalooza they were doing the same damn thing, and I went around asking people in the crowd if they knew they weren’t actually playing their instruments. People were stunned!

the worst part is Chase… i’ve seen MGMT twice since then (neither by my choice), and they did the same thing w/ Kids then too, played it over the PA and danced around to it.

they’re the new Dave Matthews Band in terms of fans too, it’s awful.
