Frightened Rabbit “Liver! Lung! FR!” Review

frightened-rabbit-liver-lung-fr-cover

Apparently the Scottish band Frightened Rabbit don’t give the old F. Scott Fitzgerald adage, saying “there are no second acts in American life,” very much credence. The band will try to give their excellent album The Midnight Organ Fight one more chance with the release of the live & acoustic Liver! Lung! FR! LP. The new album is taken from a live acoustic show at the Captains Rest in Scotland where they did a track by track take on The Midnight Organ Fight, which originally came out in 2008. While missing some of the bombast that made the album such a stirring affair, the stripped down acoustic versions on Liver! Lung! FR! show the songwriting strength that the band possesses and allows for those who missed the album to go back and check out this great band.

The Midnight Organ Fight is one my favorite albums. suuuuuuch a good band.

  • Midnight Organ Flight was such an amazing album! I do admit I am a sucker for acoustic albums, so I am as excited for this one as well, I’ve also missed opportunities to see them live, so this can be like part of the experience.

You know that they are also performing on Josh Schwartz’s new web- series Rockville CA (www.rockvilleca.com), no acoustic set but there is a short interview up with the band, love the accents.
