Bearing down for 14 shows over 5 nights at the high profile series “Jazz at Lincoln Center” shows the tremendous passion she has for her music, as does her latest recording Around the City, her 18th full length release. While covering Beck & Bob Marley Elias avoids any thought of similarity to the countless number of artists who have tried their artistic hand at finding a mainstream outlet for jazz’s counterculture.
