Girl Talk Takes Montréal Jazz Fest to the Streets

Submitted by Chris DeLine on July 10, 2007 – 9:30 amNo Comment

Creating a mobile unit for not simply his laptop but his remote power sources and amps, Girl Talk (in connection with Open Source Cinema) gave the crowd at his recent Montréal Jazz Festival show far more than they ever bargained for. Concluding his indoor set, and following a brief announced intermission, Girl Talk set up “stage” outside the club via his mobile unit and again began playing to an ecstatic crowd. I don’t mean to jinx things, but with examples like this I can only imagine what we’re in for when he returns to Minneapolis this fall with Dan Deacon.
