Gospel Gossip “Nashville”

Gospel Gossip will be celebrating the release of their new single “Nashville” with a show tonight at the 7th Street Entry. The song, which echoes the best work of their amazing debut LP, Sing into My Mouth, is a snarling bottle rocket of a song. At the forefront of the song is lead singer/guitarist Sarah Neinaber’s ringing and fuzzed out guitar playing, which constantly teeters between almost dancy pop music to a more abstract and atmospheric shoegaze sound. Along with her restrained but soulful singing, the song is kept moving forward by a pulsing bass line and some machine gun snare drum fills. The band will be giving away handmade copies to the first 100 people through the door for this show and will be releasing an EP titled Dreamland sometime this spring.
