it is nice to see GNR back. It was too long time since "Use Your Illusion". This album is not that good, but still shows that Axel is back on the track.

I had many of the same feelings when I first listened to the Album that other people had, I didnt like a lot of songs, But after listening to the album a bunch of times, I am hooked. I love so many of the songs, I really like "Catcher In The Rye", first listen I kind of pasted it by, but the songs makes you crave it after a while. The Lyrics and music are just incredible. I think if you were to make a song like "Catcher in The Rye" this would be it.

One of the best songs I have heard in a long time. And The Lyrics just fall into place. Really a great song.

ACDC is ACDC, their last album was your typical AC/DC, but this Guns N Roses after some listens is a masterpiece if you understand it. This album has a ton of great songs, and a lot of lyrics are real incredible in all the songs. "There was A Time" another real incredible song, if you only skimmed the new Album, you missed a lot, give it some listens.

It sounds different then what you might expect. But 17 years is also a lot of time for an artist to experiment and grow as an artist. There are more great songs left in AXL

I hope Im not the only one that thinks Axl has lost the edge in his voice. I love the guy, but in many songs it sounds like a 12 year old girl screaming; kind of embarrasing to listen to. I'll agree, though, that the song Chinese democracy is a lot better recorded than played live. I don't have a problem with the guitar playing or drums, mixing, whatever, its ok, nothing amazing about it, I just think these songs could have been written in a day, rehearsed and recorded within a week of practice. I was expecting a lot more, better lyrics, better vocals. Axl needs Izzy to write him some good songs if the next album will be worth listening to. And Axl, sometimes its better just to start over than to try and make shitty songs work. Revolver's in, Guns are out. cheers

Guns N Roses just launched their official Canadian merch store and I just bought some awesome new shirts. Chinese Democracy was awesome and I can't wait to see them come to Toronto on tour soon. You can check out the new store by clicking my username.

Finally picked up this CD yesterday because I was waiting for the right time to get it. I had to have time to hear it and I had a road trip by myself. After so many years I wanted to make sure I didn't have any distractions for the first listen.

After one cycle through, it is what I thought it would be. A culmination of all the ideas and talent that Axl is.

This offering is a journey that is not for the run of the mill GnR fan from the Appetite days. More so than not, if you only liked Apetite then you will not like this. I don't really listen to Apetite anymore, just Illusions 1&2.

I remember my first run with Illusions and how I could not believe they topped Apetite. Well, same can be said for Chinese Democracy.

After many cycles, I came to this thought: the original members of GnR I don't think could have done this one with Axl which is why he did it himself.

I would love to see the orignal members reunite but if I had to give up the quality and artistic style of Chinese Democracy for the next offering I would say no.

My friend asked me just a few minutes ago what I thought about the CD and I said- EPIC!!

This album did take a long ass time, but i feel its great to hear that voice again, put aside the old band and look at what it is.. today no one does guitar solos, this album was full of em, he did it his way, which every guns n roses fan knows is how Axl works. genius i say, cant stop playing it hope theres more to come!

Chinese Democracy. the title itself gives you clues to what lies inside. a paradox.
