Congrats to Brooklynite songwriter Holly Miranda for her recent signing to indie powerhouse label, XL Recordings. The future is looking pretty bright for the young lady, and deservedly so. Her intimate, head-in-the-clouds jams are great addition to the dream-pop canon—a genre that is currently on fire (I was elbow to elbow with hordes I had never seen before at the last local Beach House concert). She is currently giving away the hazy, drum n’ synth flight of fancy “Waves,” and if you dig it you can pick up her excellent Sleep on Fire EP via her website.
