The Amherst trio had towers of amps stacked up all over the stage, including one that was pointed directly towards front man J Mascis, in case his monitors weren’t providing him enough of his own guitar sound. And not having enough sound has never really been a problem for the group, and it certainly wasn’t on this evening as the band tore through a fiery 90 minute set that spanned the band’s entire career.

I keep telling anyone who is willing to listen to me (which sadly amounts to very few people) that Alicia was stunningly gorgeous and blew that place away. She was the highlight from the performances from the VMAs to me…
Oh, and Jay was there too.
I’m just in love with this song. That was the best performance of the night BY FAR. I also vote it the best song of 09 period.
This song is hot!!!!!!!! I am rushing out to get this CD today!!! The words alone is heart felt and of course Alicia is doing her thing as usual. Both of them are GREAT PERFORMERS!!!!!!!!!!!!
