I feel the criticism of the production is pretty harsh because people ar comparing this album to reasonable doubt and production back then was completely different to production now and at the people saying that the lyrical content isn't as hard as on other albums well im sure someone has already said this but he can't rap about how he's selling drugs and how hard life was for him anymore because he's already done that and so he had to try something different with the beats and lyrics.

Slizzy, that was by far the worst comparison I've ever heard. You just sound like some Jay-Z dick rider that's trying to find any reason to make BP3 a hot album when it's complete garbage. Terrible beats, terrible lyrics. The whole album he just brags how he fuckin sold out, and you can not deny that. "Used to rock a throw back, ballin on the corner, now a rock a teller suit, lookin like a owner" Traded his shit for money my dude. He should go back to suckin Nas's dick since that was when he was fire, Dead Presidents for example. He tried doing it again with Empire State of Mind, he made a hot song; NY state of mind, into a song that 13 year old girls can do a dance routine to. Whole album is weak, get your shit right man. Every song he talks about cars and money, I don't give a shit about his money or his whips. This dude has you brain washed, he was right when he said he dumbed down for his audience. Jay needs to go back to his roots, needs to trash BP3 and draw out a new lay out as you would say. All his classics were bitten off of other artists, i.e. Dead Presidents 1&2, D'Evils. Call me a hater, but it's the truth. I'm positive Jay will admit this CD is garbage just like he said about BP2. He's a bitter, let me break down his alias for you, Jaz-O + Az = Jay-Z.

I actually liked the Venus v.s. Mars track. I thought the album was pretty good all around. I do agree that the hooks weren't the best but they weren't terrible.

Classic.
So what if he got a lot of guest appearances? Its about marketing. Idk what 50 was saying, talking about when he said Jay doesn't put his own artists on his tracks, but he let Drake on there. Drake only did the hook/chorus, LOL. Meanwhile J Cole got his own verse. Cudi & Drizzy were both used to attract another audience.

Already Home = probably the best song, I can't get enough of that. That song alone, solid.
Hate = hot. I love Kanye's influence on the song, brought something new out of Jay.
Empire State of Mind = great delivery for the best place in America. A lot of people fail at making a song about New York. [cough]Ja Rule[/cough]
Venus vs. Mars = dope. The concept is just dope, word play is dope. Sexy.
Off That = at first I didn't like this song, but I fucks with it now. Futuristic, which ties in with the meaning of the song.
Thank You = I wonder if the retards riding that illuminati shit listened to this first verse? Where he basically big upped God? Ugh, anyway! Lol, dope. Third verse is proper.
A Star Is Born = everyone always says Jay is full of himself, well he definitely big upped everyone on this shit. Even those who can't keep his dick out their mouths. Dope, J Cole did it.
Real As It Gets = Definitely a banger, love how him & Jeezy blend.
So Ambitious = love this shit. I agree with the person who said you have to like blast that shit son. Anytime Hov & Phareal collab they make beautiful music.
On To The Next One = beat is sickkkkk. Dope.
DOA = my shit, and I think people need to see autotune really shouldn't be used all the time (ie: we are the world remake) -- if you're going to use it, make it genius like Ye did.
Reminder = I can do without, but I still like the song.
Young Forever = I love, especially Mr. Hudson.
What We Talkin' About = Dope. Head boppin' dope.
Run This Town = is dope, shit gives me chills.

And whoever said every song is single potential. Everything is dope. I don't see where the debate is at. Because its clearly a solid ass album.

I think people just try not to like Jay Z, they already listen to a song/album with the mentality that its going to be weak. Jay is entertaining, these other niggas boring.
