Jóhann Jóhannsson announces first ever US tour, Minneapolis date

Celebrated Icelandic electronic producer and composer Jóhann Jóhannsson has announced a short list of dates which come in support of the the release of his most recent release Fordlândia. For each date of tour Jóhannsson will be accompanied by the American Contemporary Music Ensemble, a NY-based quartet which will serve to expand his compositions in the live setting.

As an added bonus on the tour, Jóhannsson will be offering a unique limited edition CD featuring the score he created for the BAFTA-nominated animated film Varmints. Jóhannsson’s score for the film recently won an award for Best Original Musical Composition at the Rhode Island International Film Festival and will be available exclusively on the tour.
