The Amherst trio had towers of amps stacked up all over the stage, including one that was pointed directly towards front man J Mascis, in case his monitors weren’t providing him enough of his own guitar sound. And not having enough sound has never really been a problem for the group, and it certainly wasn’t on this evening as the band tore through a fiery 90 minute set that spanned the band’s entire career.

lol–this reminds me of that performance on Late Night with Conan when the autotune was on the fritz and Kanye’s voice came through as letter than stellar.
you’re right though… plus they contrasted him with Kelly Clarkson which doesn’t really help his cause.
Kanye should just forget performing Heartless live on National TV ever again, he’s like 0 for 4 on that song.

I Love Kanye West! I think he is amazing! But he can’t sing live… he so good… but not live.
