The Amherst trio had towers of amps stacked up all over the stage, including one that was pointed directly towards front man J Mascis, in case his monitors weren’t providing him enough of his own guitar sound. And not having enough sound has never really been a problem for the group, and it certainly wasn’t on this evening as the band tore through a fiery 90 minute set that spanned the band’s entire career.

Howard Stern called this guy today to see what the hell was wrong with him.

I don’t like that Howard Stern assumes there’s something wrong with him. He’s obviously just your basic, run of the mill Spears fan.
dude’s a strict-ass baller, what else would you expect from someone with such impeccable taste in music?
make sure to stay away from whatever he’s been eating.

Howard got Chris Crocker (of Britney-defending YouTube video fame) on the phone, and told him he wasn’t sure if he was a boy or a girl. The 19-year-old Chris admitted that he had an androgynous look. Howard wondered what inspired the video, so Chris explained that he was upset with the criticism Britney has suffered at the hands of the “keg-bellied” Perez Hilton. Chris added that he wanted “to give a voice to Britney fans everywhere.”
Howard and Robin asked Chris if he ever was institutionalized, but he claimed he had not been. Chris also told Howard that he was a “top” and very attracted to him. Chris then noted that he thought Britney was the best singer of all time, so Evil David Letterman and “Ozzy Ozbourne” told him he was wrong. Chris said Britney was a “national treasure,” which led Howard to say that Chris must be very gay.
