Les Ourses is a pretty new band on the local scene – I have yet to see them live but on the strength of some mp3’s they sent over we booked them to open our upcoming Culture Bully presents show on 1/29 at the Acadia Cafe. Here is one such track, “Prepositional Blues.” It’s a complex jam that incorporates some gorgeous strings, a military drumbeat, and some interesting time signature shifts. While the production quality sounds a little canned, and the vocals which get drowned out a bit, the talent is most definitely there. I am looking forward to the live experience and hope that you will join me. With fantastic acts like The Absent Arch and Suzanne Vallie on the bill as well this show is going to be fantastic.
