Local News: Marilyn Manson, Slayer & The Myth Mix-Up

Submitted by Chris DeLine on August 16, 2007 – 8:00 amOne Comment

Claude Peck reports on Marilyn Manson & Slayer’s co-headlined show, suggesting that he missed Antichrist Superstar, “Manson leads the kind of band that parents pray their children won’t like. Which, in rock, is a formula for fame.” “With no room for sweetness, variety or melody, it feels like an all-black fireworks show,” points Peck on Slayer’s set. Slayer lacking variety? You don’t say… (Star Tribune)

The Wu-Tang helmed Rock The Bells show which was to be held in the Metrodome parking lot will now be held at The Myth on the 25th of August. With that change, the Queens of the Stone Age show has been moved to First Avenue the same night. And everything was well. (Star Tribune)
