Local News: Spoon, The New Pornographers, Sea Wolf, The Fiery Furnaces, Modest Mouse & First Avenue’s Been Hit!

The Current has been crazy as of late with the quality of their in studio performances.  Just naming a few: Spoon, The New Pornographers, Sea Wolf and The Fiery Furnaces.

Modest Mouse will be returning to town, this time around the ridiculous Man Man will be joining them. (Punk News)

Speaking of Spoon, Jon Behm recalls of one of the band’s two shows last week, “Spoon proved on Wednesday night that they are both one of the hardest working as well as the most talented bands out there today. In an era of the disaffected band “cool” that seems to be becoming more and more common, it is nice to see a band that isn’t taking its fans for granted.” (How Was The Show)

Steve Engelmayer snapped a shot of an accident that happened Friday night where a car ran into First Avenue.  Wow! (The Rock ‘n’ Roll Star)
