The Amherst trio had towers of amps stacked up all over the stage, including one that was pointed directly towards front man J Mascis, in case his monitors weren’t providing him enough of his own guitar sound. And not having enough sound has never really been a problem for the group, and it certainly wasn’t on this evening as the band tore through a fiery 90 minute set that spanned the band’s entire career.

VHS or Beta stopped by Minnesota Public Radio, performing a studio session in addition to its show at the 7th St. Entry. (The Current)

Vicious Vicious frontman Erik Appelwick reflects on his break from Tapes ‘N Tapes to release a new album, “I’m just now catching my breath and starting to process everything that’s happened.” (Star Tribune)

Local acoustic duo Roma di Luna played a recent set for Minnesota Public Radio while making the rounds in promotion of Find Your Way Home, the group’s full length debut. (The Current)

Indie darling Jens Lekman will be playing the Triple Rock November 3. (Pitchfork)

Oh, how great a show this could have been if only it were 1993; Ozzy Osbourne and Rob Zombie will be playing the Target Center in October. (Blabbermouth)
