The Amherst trio had towers of amps stacked up all over the stage, including one that was pointed directly towards front man J Mascis, in case his monitors weren’t providing him enough of his own guitar sound. And not having enough sound has never really been a problem for the group, and it certainly wasn’t on this evening as the band tore through a fiery 90 minute set that spanned the band’s entire career.

- I really like the mean street video…It’s something new and fresh in the scene….it’s very simple and still it seems to be thought out well…these special kind of look….like really old fashioned=)….like there hasn’t been enough money for a good video….this was made on purpose though;)…it makes it special and kinda persuassive…..great video=)

Mando Diao is one of my favourite bands and every time I hear them on the radio I can hardly keep my feet still!
Fortunately the station I listen to in the office plays them quite often, at the moment especially Mean Street of course and I love it. Work definitly becomes much more fun with such a great song in the ear!!
And when I see the video at home on tv I’m dancing all through my living room, then I always hope that my neighbours don’t watch me!! ;-D I really like it, I think it’s skillfull as everything from Mando Diao!!
So keep on rocking!!

The video is… quite strange… I understand that it has to fit the new MD industrial style and has to compatibile with the cover of their new album and the first video – Dance with Somebody (was Gloria video a mistake? )… I believe, everybody has his/her own image of how the video should look like when he/she listens to the song for the first time – my vision was definitely different than MD’s… Maybe that is the reason that I do not like this one…

And that’s why Mando Diao’s so amazing (very short explanation):
They don’t need any big fashioned, pretentious
film sets, not any half-naked frisking women, no big bling bling, no swanky cars and don’t even need a songwriter. Their trademark is their talent. They just need themselves and their instruments.
I love the tune and I love the video! And I agree with Communisma! It reminds me of the Beatles, Hamburg era, specially at 1:18 I always think of the Beatles anthology!

I personally think, that a video accompanying a song is always very important. Today, music videos are always the same! But Mando Diao manage to have a different styles in their videos to every song! They are always interesting to watch because you never know what to expect. So I really like Meant Street ’cause its very different to other videos and it’s so special!
