While she was suffering from a sore throat M.I.A. put on what many recalled to be an entertaining performance at this summer’s Lollapalooza in Chicago. Introducing the audience to a slew of new material, the set contained a variety of fantastic tracks from her new album Kala including “20 Dollar” (wherein Miya borrows a few lines from the Pixies’ “Where is My Mind”), “Paper Planes” (which samples The Clash’s “Straight To Hell”), “Bird Flu” and the album’s first single “Boyz.” Here is what a few attendees had to say about the performance:
