for those who think Moby has changed since the Play era… then you don’t really know Moby. Go listen to his early-mid 90s albums, and you’ll understand where Moby came from, and that “Last Night” is him returning to his roots. Not going off on some crazy tangent. And to whoever wrote this review, you’re retarded. Do you normally write reviews without even listening to a whole release even once through? I’m disgusted by your excuse for criticism, and I’m personally boycotting your blog forever.

“It’s a shame to see him get all… different”…he’s always been different, it’s a matter of commercial appeal for me…”It’s a shame to see him get all commercial.” While I don’t mind the Moby who invited MTV in to his house for an episode of Cribs, I first began to enjoy Moby as the club-friendly DJ who laced his album’s liner notes with testaments towards the evils of animal testing, etc.

I have to agree for the most part. Hotel seemed like Moby was selling out, however, he redeemed himself with Hotel – Ambient, which I found spellbinding.
Honestly, Play’s B Sides was quite possibly the most enjoyable album for me, and I’d love to see him go back to that kind of stuff. It’s a shame to see him get all… different, I guess. You know what I mean?

and by ‘you’re welcome,’ i just realized that link is probably not it, or you’re combining two moby covers in your head. and confusing january 1997 with june 2002; it’s the dj shadow connection that did it for me, though.
