Conan makes an unusually long introduction for this performance, noting how the Dolls legend status is essentially based on a mere two album output. In today’s landscape, it’s hard to understand how a band could have such impact on generations to come. I had a professor who lived in New York during the late 70s and he told me that he remembered the band because they were so outrageous. He said he bought the record just because of the album cover, having not heard the band on the radio. And almost thirty years later, the band releases album number three…
