No Bird Sing “Ars Poetica”
No Bird Sing, a local group made up of members from Hyder Ali and Abzorbr, has recently released their first single on their Myspace page. “Ars Poetica,” recorded and mixed by Adam Krinsky of The Alarmists, is a slow burning track that features swirling electronics and some great guitar work to go with the smooth flow of lead singer Eric Blair. Like his work with Hyder Ali, Blair uses his Crescent Moon sounding smoky vocals to create a great dynamic that helps keep the song simmering and holds the listener’s attention for the entire five minute track. The song shows some really great promise for the group and adds another name to the already overflowing collection of talented hip hop groups working in the Twin Cities.
