Of Montreal on MPR’s The Current

Prior to Friday night’s First Avenue show Of Montreal’s Kevin Barnes and Bryan Poole stopped by Minnesota Public Radio’s The Current, joining in discussion with Mary Lucia and performing three songs. In between covers, the duo performed a new song entitled “Feminine Effects” from their forthcoming album (two in one year?) Skeletal Landing Lamping which is due in October (2008).

Your link to “Trouble” is a duplicate of “Feminine Effects.”
(that cover is amazing, btw)
the title is actually “skeletal lamping.” and it isnt due out in october, its set for early 2008.
You’re dead on with the “skeletal lamping”…I couldn’t quite make out what he was saying in the interview…but I think we’re both wrong as far as the release date for the album…the internet is telling me it’s due out October 2008.
And Bob – I’ve fixed the track – “Trouble” is now “Trouble”
thanks for the new track. look forward to seeing these guys this weekend.
I missed them last friday…that’s the problem with all ages shows…doors open @ 5
Thanks so much for putting up Trouble. I’ve been searching for an mp3 of this since I came across the MPR performance. I personally prefer to the original.
Quite welcome – I suppose I’ve never been much into the original but find this cover a bit refreshing (or as refreshing as Of Montreal can be) (how’s that for a backhanded compliment?)
