I'm sorry?
What did you just say?

I could have sworn some of you just hated on this masterpiece of an album...

It's strange, because, I simply can't find a single problem with this album. Not a fault whatsoever. I have listened to it over, and over, and over, and over, and I am neither disappointed nor left unsatisfied. This album has a perfect pace. It strides perfectly along, letting you bask in its amazing-ness. Its length is also perfect, not long, not long winded, not exacerbating, just perfectly paced goodness.

It's tone is perfect, and every song has made a mark on my mind when I listen to it. Each song reverberates, "Everyone is Golden" specifically, as it tugs on my heart strings and affects me wholeheartedly.

Well, whatever. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. I shouldn't judge.

You would "out-and-out hate it"? Come on, it's not that bad (except Lovers in Love). It's not very deep, but it's got a soulful mood that is easy to get into.

FINALLY! Somebody echoes my opinions on this album.

I'd like to thank you for aptly pointing out the flaws The Satanic Satanist possesses. Everybody else on the internet seems to be passing them right by (probably because this is the first they're hearing of them). For those of us who've been listeners, it's obvious that this is less-than-average, especially for them, and for all of the reasons you cited. It doesn't embark on any new territory. It's simply a placeholder. It's unimaginative. I'd out-and-out hate it if it weren't for the second half, which sort of manages to save the abysmal first half.

Thank you for pointing these things out. I have found very few criticisms online for this album, and it's troubling to say the least. Good to see someone is hearing (or not hearing) the same things I am.
