The Amherst trio had towers of amps stacked up all over the stage, including one that was pointed directly towards front man J Mascis, in case his monitors weren’t providing him enough of his own guitar sound. In conjunction with the release of Wu-Tang Clan’s upcoming album 8 Diagrams the historic hip hop group will be joining the Rock the Bells festival set for a number of shows as it crosses the nation. While that alone is exciting news, the Los Angeles Times has reported that Rage Against the Machine will be joining the Wu for three of these dates. Tour promoter Chang Weisberg claims that these dates, along with the group’s Coachella headlining spot, will be the only dates where Rage will perform in 2007. I didn’t believe it when Rage was set for the desert, but now I don’t believe that they’re only set for four dates nationally.

04-29-2007 – Coachella
07-28-2007 – New York, NY
08-11-2007 – San Bernardino, CA
08-18-2007 – San Fransisco,CA
