Now being almost a month removed from the event we can all look back at what was possibly the greatest night in the history of all September 17(ths). Let’s take a look at the facts:

1923: Hank Williams was born. You might think this is cool, but it’s because of him that Hank Williams Jr. is still with us. DAMN YOU HANK WILLIAMS!
1961: The Minnesota Vikings play their first NFL game…WHO CARES?! Minnesota Vikings Superbowl Victories - 0. Fact.

1967: The Doors defy censors and by using the lyrics “Girl, we couldn’t get much higher” on the Ed Sullivan show. Kinda cool, kinda not. Ed Sullivan was a douche bag and to defy him gives minimal street cred points. Plus, this moment is completely overshadowed by the fact that Jim Morrison was barely high when it happened.

September 17, 2005…by far the best September 17th EVER.
