Submitted by Chris DeLine on July 11, 2007 – 10:00 amNo Comment

Smashing Pumpkins kicked off this week’s performances on The Late Show with David Letterman by playing the lead single from its new album, “Tarantula” Monday night. The Late Show gig marks the first scheduled televised performance by the band (in any capacity) since 2000. The group is scheduled to reappear on the show this coming Friday night in support this week’s release of Zeitgeist.
