Local band Solid Gold have proven themselves to one of Minneapolis’s biggest buzz bands of 2009. They released the excellent Bodies of Water late in 2008 and have been playing to sold out crowds at nearly every venue in Minneapolis for the first two months of 2009. The electro rock band, whose reputation is growing by the day, were invited to London to play a series of shows starting this week. The band was kind enough to agree to keep Culture Bully up to date with what is going on in their travels and how the fans in the United Kingdom are treating them. Below is the short message they sent us upon arriving in London. Check back for more updates as the week goes on.

Hey Josh, we just arrived in london, it’s 9:00 a.m. here. Coffee, tea, and Crumpets are keeping us alive. Adam (drummer) got a job as a chimney sweep right away!!! And I have a line on kebab stand job which I’m hoping will pan out. So we will be able to live for a while on 10 quid a day from Adam, until my job works. These work permits are coming in handy.
Love,
Adam (Hurlburt)
