She created Arular at a point in her life where she’d had far less of a chance to be influenced by western cultures, but by Kala she had been exposed to them for some time, and they’d started to take effect.

I prefer Arular, but I find that I listen to Kala alot more, and that her own unique flavours did meld well with her newfound influences.

I’m glad that Timbaland song didn’t end up on the album though.
