The Apples in Stereo on Late Night with Conan O’Brien

The Apples in Stereo were but a drop of water in the indie rock ocean for me until lead singer Robert Schneider delivered the introduction for The Colbert Report’s infamous Shred Off, but now the band are good as gold (as far as dated remarks go, that one ranks fairly high…perhaps we should start using statements such as good as platinum Spree’s on a set of 22s with a plasma screen in the ash tray…no?). The Colbert Report performance was the first experience I had ever had with the band’s music, and though it was only a solo performance I’ve come to understand that the band’s sound revolves highly around Schneider’s voice and guitar. I am willing to bet that the track “Energy” from the band’s recent performance from Late Night with Conan O’Brien will firmly stick in your head for at least four…five hours, minimum.
