The setting and band did not lend themselves to the usual Iggy antics, but he is doing different music these days too. He is very real and will always remain real - a legend. He still looks good and moves well for being 62. I was not able to watch his recent television performances as I now live outside of the country and would like to thank whoever posted them on this site. It is always a pleasure to see Iggy. Iggy's not looking so hot here. But then again, he's clearly been given some restraints given the setting. Like... wearing a shirt. And I imagine that when you're used to putting everything you have into your performances while you're left trying to conjure up energy with Norman Cook and the CBS Orchestra backing and you have a lifeless audience who is likely looking at you the way most suburban touristy families are likely to look at Iggy Pop... things are probably going to feel a little unnatural (which could help explain the entire thing, right?).
