For a brief moment the opening shot of The National’s “Apartment Story” reveals a Bono-esque character in the forefront… my immediate thought? “Makes sense.” After all, would if an integrity-clinging über-celebrity flocked to popular indie band, would it really surprise you? Thankfully though, it is revealed not to be Bono (either that or Bono has pulled a Jared Leto and now favors facial hair) and the video explains itself in a rather simple form, lacking intricate metaphorical detail…or maybe it doesn’t…I can never tell with these guys.
